Best maid agency in Singapore? The most active, by MOM data

Short answerWe do not score agencies, so this page answers with MOM's figures. From 11 Oct 2025 to 11 Oct 2026, 33 of the 2,418 licences in MOM's EA Directory placed 600 or more helpers, led by Nation Human Resources Pte. Ltd. (2,566). Placements show how active an agency is, not how well it will suit your family.

Families often search for the best maid agency, but the right agency depends on what your household needs. We do not score or rank agencies on quality. What we can show is a public fact: how many helpers each licensed agency placed, as recorded in MOM's Employment Agency Directory. This page lists the most active licences and explains how to judge them.

How this list is made

• Source: MOM Employment Agency Directory (FDW view), extracted 12 Oct 2026.
• Period: 11 Oct 2025 to 11 Oct 2026, the 12 months the directory figures cover.
• What is counted: the placement volume MOM's directory shows for each licence in its foreign domestic worker view.
• Order: highest placements first; ties in alphabetical order.
• Who is included: every licence with 600 or more placements, our directory's largest size band. Each licence is listed separately, as MOM counts placements per licence.
• What is left out: scores, prices and our own opinions. The order comes only from MOM's figures.
• Check it yourself: search any licence number in MOM's EA Directory.

Licensed agencies with 600 or more placements

Together these 33 licences placed 32,997 helpers, 28% of the 118,641 placements in the period. Some groups hold more than one licence: Island Maids has 3 licences in this list.

What placement numbers tell you, and what they do not

A high number tells you an agency is active and its licence is in use: it placed many helpers in the last 12 months. It does not tell you about its fees, how carefully it matches a helper to a family, or how it supports you and her after she arrives. A smaller agency can suit your household just as well. Of the 2,418 licences in the directory, 1,203 placed no helpers in the period, so activity is still a useful first filter.

Agencies by size in our directory:

• 600 or more placements: 33 licences
• 300 to 599: 53 licences
• 100 to 299: 226 licences
• 55 to 99: 173 licences

How to choose between them

MOM's own advice for families picking an agency includes:

• Work only with licensed agencies listed in the EA Directory, and deal only with the registered personnel shown there. They must show you their registration cards.
• Avoid agencies on the directory's "Under revocation / suspension / surveillance" tab.
• Choose an agency that takes time to understand your needs, and ask how it screens and matches helpers.
• Ask for the helper's detailed biodata and employment history. You can also check her history yourself.
• Check what support it gives you and her after placement.
• If you need care for a family member, ask whether the agency can identify those skills and how it verified them. See hiring a helper for elderly care.
• Pick an agency whose service agreement clearly covers guarantee, replacement, termination and refund terms, with transparent fees. See agency fees and the fee cap and refunds.
